CAIRO - 25 April 2019: The closing ceremony of the seventh International Forum on Arabic Fiction will be attended by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture Said al-Masri and Chairman of the forum Jaber Asfour.

The ceremony will be held at the Supreme Council of Culture.

The minister of culture is scheduled to grant the prize of the seventh International Forum on Arabic Fiction to one of the Arab writers. The prize is valued at LE 250,000.

The closing ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at Cairo Opera House's Hanager Theater with the National Anthem and the secretary general's speech.

Following the secretary general's speech, the minister of culture will honor the organizing committee and will hand over a shield to the committee in appreciation of their efforts. Additionally, the jury will be honored by the Supreme Council of Culture.

The winner of the Cairo Prize for Creative Fiction will then be announced by the chairman of the jury and will give a short speech.

It is noteworthy that the forum began on April 20, with the participation of more than 250 critics and novelists from Egypt and twenty Arab countries as well as a few European countries.

The forum is one of the most important scientific forums specialized in the field of Arabic novel for many Arab and Western countries including Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, South Sudan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Yemen, France, Germany, Belgium and Austria.
