CAIRO - 27 March 2019: The Supreme Council of Culture headed by Said el-Masry organizes the 7th Cairo International Forum for Arab Literary Creativity set to run from April 20-24. The forum is entitled “The Novel in the Digital Age”.

The forum will be held with the participation of a large number of novelists and critics from Egypt and the Arab countries. The forum will conclude by announcing the name of the winner of the Cairo Award for Arab Literary Creativity.

Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem issued a decision to form a scientific committee to prepare for the seventh edition of the forum under the chairmanship of Jaber Asfour, and under the supervision of Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture Masry.

Members of the committee include novelist Ibrahim Abdel Majeed, author Atefal Osman, critic Hussein Hamouda, Khairi Douma, Saeed Salem, Sherif al-Gayyar, and writer Mohammed Shaeir.

The seventh Cairo International Forum for Arab Literary Creativity will be held with the participation of 250 critics, novelists and specialists from Egypt, Syria, Sudan, Lebanon, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen, Libya, UAE and Kuwait.
