CAIRO - 18 March 2019: Dubai Metro Music Festival was launched in the UAE on March 17. It is the first festival of its kind in the UAE and the Pan Arab region.

The festival's organizers stated that the festival is hosting a distinguished group of Emirati and Arab talents, offering performances that combine unique classical compositions and modern musical styles.

Director of Creative Projects in Dubai Shaimaa al-Suwaidi declared that the festival, which is set to run until March 23, will be held at five metro stations.

The shows will start at 6 a.m. and will include performances for numerous talents, including Emirati Khadija Selem, Talia Lahoud from Lebanon, Medhat Mamdouh from Egypt, Taher el-Bahrani from KSA, among others.

"We were very pleased with the amount of people that showed interest in the festival on its first day. The majority of the attendees were Metro commuters, as well as others who came specifically to the stations to watch the shows,” stated Suwaidi.

Suwaidi further explained that the organizing committee of the festival was keen to select a group of remarkable Arab and international talents that reflect through their creative work different musical styles representing many countries.
