CAIRO - 11 March 2019: For the eleventh year, the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Magdy Saber, organizes the activities of the Egyptian-Finnish musical bridge which is provided free of charge to the public.

The event is held in cooperation with the Finnish Embassy in Cairo and the external cultural relations sector from March 12-21. The Cairo Opera House group will be performing as part of the event.

The event will be attended by numerous Egyptian and Finnish artists and includes a number of workshops and lectures, as well as three concerts; the first concert will be held on the Grand Theater on March 17 at 7 p.m. and includes a selection of famous classical compositions.

The second concert will be held on the Small Theater on March 20 at 8 p.m. and includes a selection of distinguished compositions. The third concert is set to be held on March 21 and will present a selection of world famous opera compositions.

The lobby of the Grand Theater will host a photo exhibition entitled "The Spirit of the Forest", which depicts scenes of nature in Finland.

The Egyptian-Finnish musical bridge is considered a cultural cooperation between the two countries. It began with famous Finnish pianist and conductor Ralf Gothoni's idea, which was welcomed by the Egyptian Opera House to extend this distinctive bridge as an important station for young singers and talented Egyptian musicians to gain international recognition.

This cultural cooperation between the two nations has succeeded in uniting talented Egyptian musicians and international orchestras during workshops and classes led by musical pioneers, resulting in the selection of talented young musicians to pursue their musical studies at the Savonlinnan Academy in Finland.
