Yousra express her deep sadness over Ramses catastrophe

CAIRO - 28 February 2019: Prominent Egyptian star Yousra expressed her deep sadness over the train accident that occurred in Ramses Railway Station in the early hours of Feb. 27.

Yousra stressed that this event is the saddest in the modern Egyptian history due to the horrific scenes of the casualties.

The star affirmed that the person responsible for the accident should be severely punished. She revealed that she discovered the horrific accident through news on social media platforms.

She stressed that the Egyptian people, as usual, show their true nature in hardships, as thousands of people went to donate blood to help the injured as shown in numerous social media platforms.

On Wednesday, a train, with no driver on board, was seen moving at an extremely high speed and crashing into the platform's buffer stop at Cairo's busiest and main railway station, located in Ramses district.

A train locomotive rammed into the buffer stop at the end of the rail tracks at Ramses Railway Station, the main railway station of Cairo, causing a huge fire which left 20 people dead and 42 injured.

The driver of the Ramses locomotive said he is responsible for the horrific accident.
