19th Century paintings of Egypt to be sold in Bonhams Auction House

CAIRO - 8 January 2019: Bonhams Fine Art Auctioneers in London will present paintings for sale depicting Egypt in the 19th century. The auction will be held on Feb. 6, 2019 under the label “Travel and Discover”.

Russian artist Alexander Rostov’s painting will be for sale at a price between 700 to 900 .£ The painting displays the Nile in city of Luxor.


Another painting for sale is for Robert Charles which displays a restaurant in Cairo. The painting will be sold for a price between 600 to 800£.

A painting for British artist Albert Godwin portrays Muslim children learning in one of the mosques in Cairo, is expected to be sold in the auction for a price between 1000 to 1500£.


Another painting held in the auction for French artist Claude Charles portrays Isis Temple in Nubia Egypt, is expected to be sold for a price of 800 to GBE 1200 £.
