CAIRO – 7 October 2018: The Egyptian play “Alice in Wonderland” achieved revenues amounting to LE 1 million after 40 shows only, the number that is considered a record in the history of public Egyptian theater.

The play revolves around Alice's escapades in wonderland along with her rabbit Bunny.



“Alice in Wonderland” is based on the famed heritage novel that bears the same name and was released in 1865 by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll.

The play is witnessing the daily attendance of a huge audience.


The play stars Marwa Abdel Moneim as Alice, alongside Diaa Shafeek, Basma Maher, Heba Maher, Noura el-Sharkawy, Mohamed Omar, Karim Abdel Shafie, Ahmed Hamouda, Ahmed Shouman, Hamada Mahmoud, Mohamed Fayez, Abdel Hamid Gabr, and Mahmoud Salah, among others.


“Alice in Wonderland” is written and directed by Mohsen Rizk. The play songs are written by Adel Salama. The play is full of expressive dances and songs that the audience loved.
