Mohamed Salah - Egypt Today
CAIRO – 4 October 2018: Mohamed Salah’s pictures featured in “Above the Clouds” exhibition’s poster. The exhibition is hosted by the French Cultural Centre in Alexandria.
The governor of Alexandria, Abdel Aziz Qansooh, along with French Ambassador to Egypt, Stephan Rumato, attended the opening of the exhibition on Sept. 30, 2018.
The exhibition consists of 35 illustrations, portraying spectacular moments of popular football players worldwide, including Brazilian football legend Neymar and Frenchman Kylian Mbappe. The exhibition also contains illustrations of the most important moments of the Fifa World Cup 2018, which was hosted by Russia.
The exhibition, organized by the French Institute in Alexandria in cooperation with the French News Broadcasting Network, aims to shed light on some cultural norms, such as the Japanese cultural behavior, showcasing a picture of the Japanese fans cleaning up the stadium after the performance of their national team.
The French ambassador expressed his excitement and happiness for being part of such a universal event, describing it as a “beautiful” celebration and thanking all those who took part in the event.
In the same context, the governor of Alexandria asserted that the relations between the two nations are extremely solid, explaining that numerous treaties have been signed between France and Egypt. Qansooh further congratulated the French people for being the World Cup 2018 champions.
On the other hand, Manager of the French News Broadcasting Network office in Cairo, Emanuel Paris, explained that the exhibition is labeled “Above the Clouds”, as the photos used in the event feature football stars, including Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
