AMMAN - 27 September 2018: Head of the General Egyptian Book Organization (GEBO) Dr. Haitham Al Haj Ali asserted on Thursday that the Egyptian pavilion at Amman International Book Fair has been greatly admired by the audience.

This fair is one of the major cultural events in the Arab world as it is considered the second oldest one after Cairo International Book Fair, the GEBO head told MENA on the sidelines of the fair.

Amman fair is the first one to be held within the framework of the Arab book fair season, Ali said, adding that it brings publishers from the Levant together.

He pointed out that the GEBO issued the latest publications of Jordanian Author Samiha Khreis, which has been chosen by the Amman book fair as the person of the year, a move that ensures the deep joint cultural cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.
