CAIRO – 28 August 2018: The first round of Sawasiya Film Festival for short movies and documentaries will kick off on September 14, 2018 in Suez.

A total of 25 films are already admitted in the official and unofficial contests of the festival. Participating movies should submit their applications before September 2.

The festival’s management revealed that “Batmana” (I hope) directed by Ayman Morgan, “Awza Arees” (I want a groom) directed by Karim Anwar, “Bela Hodood” (without limits) directed by Mohamed No’man and several other films will be participating in the festival.

As part of the festival, several directing and cinematic performance workshops will be held as well as workshops discussing the important role of the film industry as one of the combatants of the dark forces of terrorism.

The festival’s officials headed by MP Abdel Hamid Kamal revealed that veteran actors Sayed Ragab and Ahmad Kamal will be part of the judging committee in the festival.
