Iran to restructure Iraqi museums destroyed by Daesh

CAIRO - 20 May 2017: A group of Iranian experts will visit a number of Iraqi museums to reorganize and restructure them, stated Mohamed Hassan Talibyan, the vice president of the Culture and Heritage Foundation in Iran.

Tasnim News Agency mentioned that the Iranian experts will be sent this year in order to survey the antiquities in order to rearrange them after the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group destroyed most of them.

Iraq has a number of important museums, the most eminent of which is Mosul Museum, which was destroyed by IS terrorist group in 2015.
