Omar Khairat to perform for first time in Moroccan theatre

CAIRO - 3 May 2017: Thursday, May 4 will mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Morocco. On this occasion the great Egyptian musician Omar Khairat will meet with the Moroccan audience at Mohamed V Theatre in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, for the first time in a major concert.

Khairat is expected to play 20 selection during the concert including “Dameer Abla Hikmat” (Conscience of Abla Hikmat), “Wagh Elkamar” (The Moon Face) and “Leilet elkabd ala Fatma” (The Night Fatma was Arrested).

Khairat recently gave a large charity concert, on April 21 at Cairo’s Ain Shams University. The concert witnessed the attendance of Minister of Higher Education Khalid Abdel Ghaffar and Faculty of Engineering Dean Mohamed Ayman Ashour, as well as Ain Shams University’s president. A number of public figures, former ministers, faculty deans and thousands of students greeted Khairat with thundrous applause when he appeared on the stage
