CAIRO- 23 April 2017: Moaz, 10 year-old uneducated boy, used to draw while sitting with his grandmother as she peddled packets of tissue papers in an underground station. After the media covered his wasted gift, he opened his first art exhibition, MBC reported.

Last year, social media users shared pictures of Moaz, dubbing him “the metro painter”. Hence, newspapers paid attention to his story, shedding light on the irony of how he could not afford education, and sat in the underground station close to the Cairo University, the oldest university in Egypt.

Last year, Art Teacher, Ali al-Rawy, fostered his talent and gave him drawing classes, which made Moaz capable of opening his own exhibition that ran for three days.
