CAIRO – 27 January 2018 : Magnolia Leaves of Art will screen “Dalida” on Wednesday, January 31.

“Dalida” is a film based on the true story of the Egyptian late prominent singer Dalida born in Cairo. Dalida became one of the most popular singer in the 1960s globally as she performed in many languages, such as Arabic, Spanish and French amongst others. Dalida also had acting experience in the film "Le Sixième Jour" by the international award winning director Youssef Chahin. She ended her journey through committing a suicide after passing through severe depression .

Dalida died after after selling more than 130 million records worldwide.
The film is directed by the French director Lisa Azuelos a writer and producer, known for ”LOL (Laughing Out Loud)” (2008) and ”Quantum Love” (2014).

Starring Sveva Alviti, Riccardo Scamarcio among others. Sveva Alviti is an actress, known for ”Dalida” (2016), ”Cam Girl” (2014) and ”Between Ethyl and Regular” (2011). While Riccardo Scamarcio is an actor and producer, known for ”Loose Cannons” (2010) and John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) .
