CAIRO – 17 January 2018: The famous Egyptian Band Cairokee will perform four concerts at El-Sawy Culture Wheel.

The concerts will take place at El Sawy Culture Wheel on Thursday, January 18, and at and on Friday.

Cairokee is an Egyptian rock band that voices the social and political concerns of the youth. Although the band was founded in 2003, they achieved fame after the release of their revolutionary hit single "Soot al-Horreya" (Voice of Freedom) in 2011.

Cairokee’slatest album “No'taBeida”, released last summer, consists of 10 songs. The main song “No'ta Beda” has already attained 1.6 million views on YouTube.


All the tracks on the album were filmedas video clips with the same classic format.

The first track “No'taBeida” examines inner conflicts and how onegets lost in his or her own thoughts. The whole band acts as a chorus and the second part of the song is performed by singer Abdel Rahman Mohamed.

Founded in 2003 in Zamalek, El-Sawy Culture Wheel is one of the most prominent cultural centers in Cairo that provides a platform for artists and musicians to showcase their talents.
