CAIRO – 26 December 2017: The Egyptian actor Amir el-Masry released the trailer of his latest movie “ The Arabian Warrior”. This is the first time for Masry to perform the leading role in a movie.

“The trailer is finally out for 'The Arabian Warrior'. The first ever American-Saudi film in English. I am very proud to share with you all the trailer. Coming out March 2018. I would love to know your thoughts!” Masry wrote on his official Facebook Page.

"The Arabian Warrior" revolves around an Arabian guy who is studying in the United States and his ultimate goal is to be a football player. His father strongly opposes this desire, resulting in a strong clash between them.

Amir el-Masry is an Egyptian actor who was born in England on August 2, 1990. He studied criminology and sociology at Royal Holloway University.

The late great actor Omar el-Sherif was the first to discover Masry; Sherif advised Masry to start acting in Egypt first in order to be an international actor.

In 2008, Masry started his acting career in Egypt through his participation in the famous Egyptian comic movie “Ramadan Mabrouk Aboul Alameen Hamouda” with the veteran comedian Mohamed Henedy. Masry grabbed attention in the movie by performing Ramzy’s character, the rich spoiled son of the minister of education.

In 2009, Masry won the “Best Young Actor Award” at the Egyptian Oscar for his performance in “Ramadan Mabrouk Aboul Alameen Hamouda”. In 2010, he performed the role of the careless university student Nabil with the famous actress Yasmine Abdel Aziz in “El-Talata Yashtaghaloonaha” (The three are deceiving her)

After this movie, Masry joined the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and graduated in 2013. He started his career as an international actor in 2014, performing the role of Alireza in the American movie “Rosewater”. This movie was based on a true story about a journalist who was accused of being a spy and brutally interrogated in prison for 118 days.

In 2016, he participated in the American TV mini-series “ The Night Manager”, where he performed with Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie the role of a guy named Youssef; he appeared in two episodes.

Masry performed in a number of English plays, most recently “Goats”. Masry stated on his official Facebook page, “If you're in London and fancy coming along to say hi and see a really important play, it's called "Goats" and it'll be showing at The Royal Court Theatre until December 30! (Part 2).”
