"La Serva Padrona" is an iconic Italian opera composed by Italian composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. It was performed for the first time in 1733.

Consisting of one act, it satirically expresses how a house maid called Serpina wants to make her master Uberto marry her. The story of "La Serva Padrona" opera is based on a play by Jacopo Angello Nelli.

Since its composition, the opera is used to be staged as an interlude between the acts of larger and serious operas to add some sort of relief and enjoyment.
