CAIRO - 6 March 2017: Prices for sound and light shows run by Misr for Sound, Light & Cinema will increase in April for shows at the Giza Plateau, Karnak Temple, Edfu Temple, Philae Temple, and Abu Simbel,

Youm7

reported Sunday.

The new prices will include the new value-added tax (VAT), the report added. Prices for foreign language shows are expected to be 157 EGP, and Arabic shows will cost 150 EGP.

In a notification sent to the tourism companies’ operating room, the company emphasized that the increases come because of the increasing costs of the performances the company holds.

It further stated that the increase is mainly due to ongoing spikes in electricity fees, as well as spare parts for the imported light-sound equipment amidst sharp revenue declines facing the tourism sector.
