Indian - Canadian drama 'Siddharth' to screen at Zawya

CAIRO – 30 November 2017: Indian – Canadian film "Siddharth" to screen at Zawya on December 3; a discussion with film's director, Richie Mehta, will be held after the screening.

"Siddharth" revolves around a father, Mahendra, who sends his 12 year old son, Siddharth, to work. After Siddharth fails to return to Delhi, Mahendra learns that his son might have been kidnapped, and he travels across India to look for his son.
Released in 2013, "Siddharth" stars Rajesh Tailang, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Anurag Arora.

The film participated in various festivals in 2013 and 2014 including the Venice Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and Abu Dhabi International Film Festival. "Siddharth" won the Tiantian Award for Best Picture at the Beijing International Film Festival 2013.
