NMEC to carry out a round to renovate Mummies

CAIRO – 29 October 2017: National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is organizing a number of mummies renovation training courses from October 29 to November 2 in NMEC according to Mahrous Said, the head of NMEC. The training is cooperation between Ministry of Antiquities and the UNESCO.

The German conservator and mummies’ renovation expert will lecture during the course, alongside with a number of Egyptian and international experts, according to Somaya Abdel Khalek the supervisor of Mummies restoration.

Aiming well preparation for historical sites workers and specialists is one of the course’s targets.

Many educational and specialized institutions will be collaborating such as Faculty of Antiquities, National Egyptian Museum Civilization, and National Research Center.
The forthcoming course is the third Mummies renovation course that organized by NMEC.
