CAIRO – 23 October- 2017: The famous Tunisian star Hend Sabry won the Best Actress Award in 2017 from NRJ radio, on her role in the successful Ramadan series “Halawet el-Dunia” (The Sweetness of Life), which also won NRJ’s Best Soap Opera Award.

“Halawet el-Dunia” is the story of a young career-oriented woman who is about to get married but her world comes crushing down as she discovers that she has leukaemia just a few weeks before her wedding.

“Halawet el-Dunia” offers a new take on cancer in Arabic drama, it gives an advert that encourages people to get regular check-ups and to deal with the illness in a positive way; educating people and raising their awareness.

As soon as it was aired, it achieved booming success due to the romantic love story, which takes place between Selim, played by the Tunisian heartthrob Dhaffer L’Abidine and Amina performed by Hend Sabry; the love story that helped both characters overcome cancer.

The series hosts a galaxy of stars beside Sabry and L'Abidine such as Hani Adel, Anoushka, Mostafa Fahmy, Hanan Motawe’a, and Ragaa al-Gedawy among others.
