CAIRO – 5 October 2017: The first Egyptian Docudrama film “Fostan Melawen” [Colored Dress] will screen at Heliopolis Library on October 17.

“Fostan Melawen” documents the real life of different independent women from different social classes. It also sheds light on their suffering in society and how they resist.

Psychological breakdowns, emotions, hopes, and the inner feelings of women are some of the points that the film tackles.

Fifteen women participated in narrating their real-life experiences; the cast includes Mona Ahmed, Aya Saad, Dalia Fakhr, Nour Mohamed and Horeya al-Sayed.

Scriptwriter Radwa al-Awady and producer Amany Mousa participated in the film through presenting their biographies.

“Fostan Melawen” is the first docudrama film in Egypt.

Docudrama is a genre of movies that revolves around documenting real life actors in dramatic forms.

The movie was directed by Ehab Moustafa, and written by Radwa al-Awady.
