CAIRO – 3 October 2017: Dubbed “Opera’s Coolest Soprano” by the New York Times, Danielle de Niese is coming to the Middle East, debuting in the United Arab Emirates for the first time at the Dubai Opera on October 6.

Niese was born in April 1979 in Australia, coming from a mixed Sri Lankan, Scottish, and Dutch heritage. Music was in her blood from a young age, having won the 1988 season of Australia's Young Talent Time at the age of nine. By the time she was 19, Niese was the youngest singer to ever be accepted into the Lindemann Young Artists Programme at New York’s Metropolitan Opera.

She is most known for her musical contribution in the soundtrack to director Ridley Scott’s 2001 “Hannibal” movie, starring Anthony Hopkins, where she starred as an opera singer. Being so young yet talented in her field, Niese has been hailed as a shining new star in the world of Opera, though she has not been afraid to dip into pop music, having performed alongside rapper LL Cool J and Lebanese singer Mika.
