Nancy Abdel Fattah to lead Photopia lecture

CAIRO – 13 September 2017: An interactive talk with cinematographer Nancy Abdel Fattah will be held by Photopia on September 15 at 7 p.m.

Abdel Fattah has several important credits as a cinematographer; she's the cinematographer of “Wahet Al-Groub,” “Zat”, and “Segn Al-Nesa” series among other movies as well.

She started her career as an amateur photographer beside her job as an interior designer, then applied to study cinematography at the high cinema institute and became the first Egyptian woman to be director of photography.

In 2009, Abdel Fattah won the Dubai International Film Festival award for the movie “Wahed Sefr” as the best cinematographer.

The talk will include questions and answers about cinematography, lighting, and angles.

Photopia is a space for the photography community in Egypt founded by two enthusiastic photographers. It offers a wide range of services, including a studio, a gallery, workshops, and a bookstore.
