CAIRO – 7 September 2017: Alexandria Opera House and Cairo Opera House will host the State Academic Ensemble-Song and Dance Adjara “Arsiani” on September 22 and on September 24 at 8 p.m.

The State Ensemble of Georgia, which was named Arsiani in 2017, is a team consisting of professional dancers and musicians established in 1921 to reflect the culture of their city Adjara, historical, geographic and political-administrative region of Georgia, through their performance. They gave their first concert on July 11, 1922.

It was awarded the title of Honored Staff of Georgian Republic alongside the Academic status in 2016.

The Ensemble includes Georgian folk leading figures such as David Javrishvili, Artem Erkomaishvili, Fatman Kobaladze, Enver Khabadze and Mirian Chkhikvishvili.

During this period the ensemble was successfully travelling around the world dancing and singing samples of every region of Georgia; they have travelled to Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Poland and Egypt. They manage to present Georgian ethnographic culture through the language of flexibility.
