CAIRO – 5 September 2017: International composer/ musician Fathy Salama will be carrying out his new project The Flying Concert at Al Genaina Theatre on September 16.

The ambitious project includes performances carried out by Salama and 15 students enrolled in Al Darb Al Ahmar Arts School, according to the event’s official Facebook page.

The performances come as a result of intensive courses given to the students, revolving around contemporary music theories. The students’s participation with Salama will give the students a good opportunity to implement they learned.

Al Darb Al Ahmar Arts School was founded in 2011to teach the children a number of skills and to develop their way of thinking.

The school is providing two educational majors including Circus and Music. There are more than 100 students currently enrolled in the school.

Last Month, 12 students were selected for camping in Lebanon and to participate in Nehna Wel Amar Wel Geran International Festival.

Fathy Salama is one of the iconic Egyptian musicians and he is the only Arabic musician who won a Grammy Award.

He cooperated with many leading artists as oussou N'Dour, Cesaria Evora and has established Sharkiat band and has performed in over 200 concerts with his band; in addition to releasing two albums with Sharkiat.
