CAIRO – 2017: Bibliotheca Alexandria (BA) Medical Center will lead a lecture revolving around the restoration works that are expected to be implemented on Al – Azhar Mosque, on September 14.
The lecture will be led by Professor of Architecture and Director of the Center for Conservation and Preservation of Islamic Architectural Heritage, Saleh Lamei, according to a released statement by BA.
The Center for Conservation and Preservation of Islamic Architectural Heritage is responsible for preparing a plan for the restoration of Al- Azhar Mosque. The plan includes basic principles and strategies for restoration that complies with international standards.
Established over 1000 years ago, Al- Azhar Mosque is one of several iconic sites in Cairo and a renowned monument for all Muslims.
