CAIRO - 17 August 2017: Egyptian band 'Underground' has posted a video earlier on Facebook, featuring the Egyptian cover of the popular Spanish song 'Despacito' on Wednesday.

The Egyptian cover has received a total of 57,000 views on social media.



Performed by rapper Daddy Yankee and Puerto Rican pop artist Lusi fonsi, the original song embarked as a hit among Egyptian audiences.

Underground spotlight is a page on Facebook that aims to help talented music bands to show their creativity; they posted a video of the new Egyptian remix of Despacito performed by Ally Salama and Ahmed Wahba, oud: Mostafa Ghoneimy, accordion:

Most of the covers done had the same rhythm and most of them were by foreigners, but two Egyptian guys decided to give a very new cover of 'Despacito,' using oriental rhythm and instruments like 'tabla' to produce a new flavor of the original Spanish.
