Tom Cruise suffers injury while filming Mission Impossible 6

CAIRO – 17 August 2017: Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has suffered an injury on set for Mission Impossible 6, causing filming to be halted until his recovery.

The accident occurred when Cruise attempted to perform a stunt that involved jumping between two high buildings. According to a video posted by TMZ, Cruise had apparently attempted the stunt twice, breaking his ankle.

The video shows the actor hitting a wall and limping away at the end. While production for the Mission Impossible 6 is on hiatus, the film's estimated release date of July 27, 2018 is still on according to BBC News.

On Wednesday, August 16, the film's director Christopher McQuarrie posted a thank you on his Twitter for all the fans that sent Cruise their regards;
