Cairokee perform next week at El Sawy Culture Wheel

CAIRO - 16 August 2017: Egyptian band, Cairokee is performing four shows for their debut album ‘White Drop’ (No’ta Beeda) at El Sawy Culture Wheel on August 19 and 20.

Cairokee is an Egyptian rock band that voices the social and political concerns of the youth. Although it was founded in 2003, their popularity sparked after the release of their revolutionary hit single ‘Soot El Horreya’ or the ‘Voice of Freedom.’ They will drop their latest album ‘No’ta Beeda’ as part of their performance in London’s Shubbak Festival.

According to El Sawy Culture Wheel’s event on Facebook, this show is Cairokee’s first live performance of their new album in Cairo. Cairokee’s first show on August 19 is sold out; however tickets are still available for the latter show at 9:30 p.m. for LE 70 ($ 3.92). Both shows on August 20 are sold out.

Founded in 2003 and located in Zamalek, El Sawy Culture wheel is one of the most prominent cultural centers in Cairo that provides a platform for artists and musicians to showcase their talents.
