CAIRO – 12 August 2017: A project by renowned woman architect

Zaha Hadid

, who passed away last year, will finally be coming into fruition in the UAE with construction slated to be done by the end of 2018.

The project is the headquarters building for the environmental agency Bee’ah, situated in Sharjah.

Construction comes in cooperation with the Al Futtaim Carillion in order to help build the HQ. The design for the building had been established since 2013, and Hadid ensured it would be truly fitting as the HQ building of an environmental agency through designing every aspect to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible.

The materials used for construction are recycled, and will utilize efficient clean energy sources such as solar power.

This comes in parallel with the goals of Bee’ah as an organization, whose goal is to eliminate the UAE's environmental problems, cleaner air and water and the utilization of renewable energy sources.
