Microsoft's City Art app provides comprehensive art directory

CAIRO – 2 August 2017: Microsoft's 'City Art Search' app is now one of the world's most comprehensive directories for artwork of all kinds, as of the most recent update released July 28.

Over 8,600 of the world's most famous art are available for easy searching, with the app telling users which of their local galleries or museums feature the artwork.

You can search out fine art by the artist, the century it was created, or the artistic movement it's associated with.

The app will only continue to be adding more art as updates roll in, and it also allows users to decorate their Windows devices, such as allowing the lock screen to display new art every hour, digitaltrends.com reports.

The app is available for free at Microsoft.com's store for the following platforms; Windows 10, Windows 10 mobile, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 mobile.
