CAIRO - 2 August 2017: The film ‘We Love You Hedi,’ a Tunisian film, will be screened in Egyptian cinemas on August 16 after participating in Luxor African Film Festival.

The film performed by Magd Mastora, Reem bin Masoud and Sabah Bozeid is written and directed by Mohamed bin Attia and produced by Dora Bouchoucha, Nadeem Sheikh and the Belgian producers and directors Luke and Jane Bier Dardin.

It talks about a young speechless man who does not want anything from life, leaving his authoritarian mother to control his life by marrying him to Khadiga. But two days before his wedding, he has known Reem whose freedom and indifference has made him love her.

It has participated in Luxor African Film Festival besides more than 20 international festivals such as London Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Dubai International Film Festival, Cairo Cinema Days, Sudan Independent Film Festival and Tetouan International Mediterranean Film Festival.

‘We Love You Hedi’ has won the first best long film award for the director Mohamed bin Attia, Silver Bear for the actor Magd Mastora in Berlin International Film Festival and also won in Athena International Film Festival.

Luxor African Film Festival is one of the most important projects founded by the organization of independent youth actors, nonprofit organization, due to the absence of African films in Egypt and the lack of cultural activities in Luxor.
