Al Anani, Kazakh ambassador meet on mosque restoration project

CAIRO– 31 July 2017: Minister of Antiquities Khaled Al Anani on Monday received Kazakhstan's Ambassador in Cairo Arman Isagaliev for talks on ways to boost bilateral cooperation in the field of antiquities.

The two sides agreed on resuming the restoration project for the Al Zaher Baybars Mosque in Cairo within weeks, a statement by the ministry said.

The restoration project is funded by the government of Kazakhstan, it added.
