CAIRO – 6 November 2022: After his visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza, King Tupou VI of Tonga and his wife visited the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.

 

 

 

 

King Tupou VI, his wife and the accompanying delegation were accompanied on a tour inside the museum’s various halls. King Tupou VI expressed great interest in the museum's archaeological holdings, especially the antiquities of King Ramses II.

 

 

 

 

The visit comes on the sidelines of King Tupou VII’s presence in Egypt to attend the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Climate Change Convention [COP27] currently held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
