Emirati Min. of Culture & Youth visits National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

CAIRO – 30 October 2022: As part of a series of official visits to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, the museum received Emirati Minister of Culture and Youth Noura al-Kaabi and her accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of her current visit to Egypt.

Emirati Minister Noura al-Kaabi started her visit with a tour inside the restoration laboratories, where Director of the Restoration Center Mohamed Abdel Shafi explained the most important tasks of the laboratories, from receiving the artifacts, to the necessary stages of restoration for each piece.

Director of the Archaeological Documentation Department Fatima Bakkar accompanied the minister and her delegation on a tour inside the Royal Mummies Hall, the Central Exhibition Hall and the Egyptian Textile Hall.

Kaabi expressed her happiness with this visit and her fascination with the museum's unique archaeological holdings that portray the greatness of the Egyptian civilization. She also commended the modern methods implemented in the museum’s display scenario. Kaabi stressed the Emirati aspiration for more cooperation with Egypt in the coming period.
