Christie's launches ‘Arts of Islamic & Indian Worlds’ auction on Oct. 27

CAIRO – 27 October 2022: Christie's Art House in London will inaugurate an auction titled "Arts of the Islamic & Indian Worlds, Including Oriental Rugs & Carpets" on October 27.

The auction includes many paper manuscripts and Quranic copies of different shapes and designs, in addition to handmade Islamic carpets.

Among the items offered for sale in the auction is a Qur’an written in Naskh script with a Persian translation between the lines in red script, including thick multicolored gold bases in addition to a golden circular verse, margins with some commentaries and golden outlines. Its price is estimated between £4,000 to £6,000.
