CAIRO – 4 October 2022: The Fine Arts Sector will celebrate the enriching artistic career of the late artist Mohamed Eltahan, through a large retrospective exhibition.

 

 

 

 

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Head of the Plastic Arts Sector Khaled Sorour on October 5  at 7 p.m. in the halls of the Gezira Arts Center in Zamalek, in the presence of a group of artists and critics. The exhibition runs until October 19.

 

 

 

 

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Eltahan (1946-2021) obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts (Leonardo da Vinci) Department of Oil Painting in 1973. He was a member of the Syndicate of Fine Artists and many artistic associations. He rose in the positions of the Plastic Arts Sector until he served as general manager of biennials, triennials and international exhibitions and Director General of Ceremonies and Houses of Creativity. His artistic record is full of solo and group exhibitions, both local and international. During his career, he received many awards and honors from Egypt and abroad.
