CAIRO – 22 September 2022: On September 22, Mallawi Museum in Minya will open its door for Egyptians free of charge, in celebration of its 6th reopening anniversary.

This was stated by Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mustafa Waziri, who also noted that the museums sector will celebrate this day by holding a series of events organized by the museum. This includes a documentary film screening about the reopening of the museum, with a presentation of the most important activities that the museum has organized to the public ever since.

A children’s choir will also perform songs about peace under the title “Message of Peace”. The performance comes on the sidelines of celebrating the International Day of Peace, which was approved by the United Nations’ General Assembly, and falls annually on September 21.

It is worth noting that the museum houses 950 stunning artifacts.
