Egypt’s Zahi Hawass named 'Arab Heritage Personality' for 2022 at 2nd Arab Forum for Tourism & Heritage

CAIRO – 25 July 2022: Marwan bin Turki Al-Said, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar in the Sultanate of Oman, and Sultan bin Khamis Al-Yahyani, President of the Arab Center for Tourist Information, announced that Egyptologist Zahi Hawass has been awarded the Arab Heritage Personality for 2022 in the Sultanate of Oman, at the Second Arab Forum for Tourism and Heritage.

 

 

 

 

“It pleases me to be chosen as the Arab Heritage Personality for the year 2022,” said Hawass.

 

 

 

 

Hawass stressed that the Sultanate of Oman is distinguished by its tourism, heritage and archaeological potentials known throughout history.

 

 

 

 

"I invite everyone to visit the Sultanate of Oman and enjoy it in terms of tourism, heritage and culture. From this forum, we launch a campaign to promote the Sultanate in general and the Dhofar Governorate in particular," concluded Hawass.
