Egypt’s Min. of Tourism & Antiquities organizes an awareness-raising tourism program for 56 school students of border governorates

CAIRO – 27 June 2022: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities organized an awareness-raising tourism program for 56 school students in different educational stages from a number of border governorates [Matrouh, New Valley, North Sinai and Aswan].

 

 

 

 

The students are set to visit a number of tourist and archaeological sites in the governorates of Cairo and Giza, in coordination with the governorates and the concerned authorities.

 

 

 

 

For his part, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Awareness and Internal Tourism and Permanent Undersecretary of the ministry Ahmed Youssef indicated that this awareness program comes within the framework of the ministry’s Strategy for Sustainable Development 2030 to raise tourism and archaeological awareness among children, youth and all segments of society.

This awareness-raising program included a visit to the Giza Pyramids Antiquities Area, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, the Religious Complex in Old Cairo, Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi Citadel, the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, Al-Hussein area, and Al-Muizz Street.

 

 

 

 

The participants praised such visits that help acquaint them with the ancient Egyptian civilization and enrich their experiences.
