Al-Sennari Archaeological House to hold ‘Decorations of Al-Azhar Mosque’ workshop on June 19

CAIRO – 19 June 2022: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a free workshop under the title "Decorations of Al-Azhar Mosque" on June 19 at 5 pm in Al-Sennari Archaeological House.

The workshop focuses on introducing the history and types of decorations, the geometric measurements needed to prepare distinctive decorations, as well as the rules used for balancing, symmetry, proportionality, bifurcation, repetition, and others, with emphasis on the decorations of the Al-Azhar Mosque.

The workshop aims to shed light on the art of decoration that has accompanied man since ancient times. It targets youth from the age of 16 years and above.
