Popular Egyptian rapper Wegz was wearing Palestinian flag and Kuffiya during his latest performance in Paris.

 

Wegz and Aly El Arabi, the director of his latest song “Be’oda Ya Belady” announced that all the song’s profits was dedicated to the Zaatari camp of refugees in Jordan to help in enhancing the means of living in the camp.

 

The “ Captains of Zaatari” movie’s song was released by Wegz amassing millions of views on YouTube.

 

Award-winning documentary Captains of Zaatari  tells a human story of hope and the fulfillment of dreams.

The world premiere of Captains of Zaatari was at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by other international film screenings, and in every screening the movie managed to receive wide international acclaim. 

 

 

The film was awarded El Gouna Star for the Best Arab Documentary Film (Trophy, Certificate, and US $10,000) at this year’s Gouna Film Festival

 Wegz, Marwan Pablo and Afroto performed for the first at Riyadh Season on March 14.

 

The Egyptian trap stars concert achieved huge success.

 

Wegz’s song “El Bakhet” amassed millions of views on YouTube.

 

According to Spotify Wegz cemented his title of most-streamed artist once again in Wrapped 2021. 

 

Four of his songs were among the 10 most-streamed songs in Egypt which are “Asyad El Soot” with LZHYMR, “Msh Fair”, “3afareet El Asphalt'' and “Hustla”.

 

Previously commenting on the news, Wegz said: “I can’t explain how happy I am to be Spotify’s top streamed artist in Egypt for the second year in a row. A big thank you to the best fans in the world, wouldn’t be here without you!”
