The 75th edition of Cannes Film Festival witnessed the strongest Arab and Egyptian participation.

Lebanese star Nicolas Mouwad got positive feedback on his participation in “Three Thousand Years of Longing” alongside Idris Elba, Tilda Swinton and directed by Oscar-winner George Miller.

Acclaimed Egyptian director Youssry Nassrallah and renowned Egyptian film critic Ahmed Shawky both served as jury members at the Cannes International Film Festival.

Nasrallah is the chairman of the Short Films competition while Shawky is heading the Critic’s panel (Fiberci).
 
Also we have Egyptian director Ahmed Fawzy Saleh who participated in the 75th edition of Cannes Film Festival with his film project “Hamlet From The Slums”.

A notable group of Arab and Egyptian stars participated in Cannes Film Festival including veteran Egyptian actor and head of Cairo International Film Festival Hussein Fahmy, Egyptian superstar star Mona Zaki, Egyptian star Yasmine Sabry, Egyptian star Tara Emad, acclaimed TV host Raya Abirached, Engy Kiwan, Aseel Omran and Cynthia Khalife.
