Egyptian artist Mohamed Bastawy’s painting 'Village' lands on The Times main page

CAIRO – 24 May 2022: London based newspaper, The Times, uploaded the young Egyptian artist Mohamed Sabry Bastawy's painting "Village"  on its official social media platforms.

The painting is participating in the Bonhams auction today. Publishing Bastawy’s painting comes in appreciation of his art and creativity, which is a great tribute to contemporary Egyptian art.

Bastawy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture, Alexandria University, and a Pre-Master in Field Sculpture. He was appointed as a Demonstrator at the Sculpture Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University.

He organized several special exhibitions, including An exhibition at the Jesuit Cultural Center, an exhibition at the Faculty of Fine Arts in El-Minya in 2000, an exhibition at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Helwan in 2002, and an exhibition at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria in 2003, among others.
