CAIRO – 23 May 2022: The 31st Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which launches on May 23, is witnessing a distinguished official Egyptian participation.

 

 

 

 

Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem will deliver a special speech during the opening of the conference of the Dean of Arabic Literature Taha Hussein, who was chosen by the fair’s management as the main personality for its 31st edition. Also, the management of the Cairo International Book Fair had previously chosen Hussein as the main personality for its 2014 edition.

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, the General Egyptian Book Authority will hold a large special pavilion that includes the authority's latest publications in various book sections, especially in the field of heritage, Arab creativity, Egyptian history and encyclopedias.

 

 

 

 

The exhibition runs until May 29, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, with the participation of a group of leading writers, thinkers, and publishers from all over the world.

 

 

 

 

The fair hosts more than a thousand publishers from 80 countries, and includes 400 diverse activities. The Federal Republic of Germany will be the guest of honor in the fair’s 31st edition.
