CAIRO – 10 May 2022: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina headed by Mostafa el-Feki won the Sheikh Zayed Book Award for Publishing and Cultural Techniques.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is a resurrection of the ancient Library of Alexandria. This new library was the largest library of its time and was inaugurated on October 16, 2002 with international participation.

The library includes millions of books in different languages and an internet archive that provides readers all over the world with the books they require.

It is noteworthy that the Sheikh Zayed Book Award is an independent award, granted each year to culture makers, thinkers, creators, publishers and youth, for their contributions in the fields of development, authorship, and translation that have a clear impact on enriching cultural, literary and social life, according to scientific and objective standards.
