CAIRO – 23 March 2022: During the holy month of Ramadan, the Supreme Council of Antiquities has approved new operating times for all museums and archaeological areas affiliated with the council nationwide.

 

 

 

 

Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri explained that the visiting hours at museums and archaeological sites will start from 9 am until 4 pm, except for the Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh Museums, where the visiting times remain the same over two periods, a morning shift from 10 am to 1 pm, and an evening shift from 8 pm to 11 pm.

 

 

 

 

He added that the visiting hours in the Pyramids Antiquities Area, Saqqara and Salah El-Din Citadel in Cairo will be from 8 am until 4 pm. The visiting hours in the archaeological areas in Luxor and Aswan will remain the same.

 

 

 

 

The visiting hours of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat will be from 9 am to 4 pm.
