The influencers enjoy Egypt - Min. of Tourism & Antiquities

CAIRO – 2 March 2022: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion, invited a number of young Japanese influencers, who are followed by many social media users, to visit Egypt and learn about the various tourism patterns, products and elements that characterize the Egyptian tourist destination.

 

 

 

 

 

During the visit, the influencers visited Hurghada, where they enjoyed the beautiful landscapes, sunny beaches, and the enchanting safari trips.

 

 

 

 

 

This visit also aimed at introducing the Japanese influencers to the diving tourism product characterizing the various Egyptian destinations, as studies have revealed that about 3 million Japanese youths have diving licenses, and about 1.4 million of them travel on diving trips.

Moreover, the Japanese influencers toured Dendera Temple in Qena, the Pyramids of Giza Antiquities Area, Saqqara and Dahshur. They also visited a number of other tourist and archaeological sites in Luxor and Alexandria.

For his part, Head of the Central Administration of Tourist Offices at the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion Maged Abu Sedira explained that hosting the influencers comes within the framework of the ministry’s interest to attract Japanese tourists, especially youth. 

 

 

 

 

 

In a related context, the ministry invited a number of social media influencers from Germany, Spain, Kuwait, and Egypt to South Sinai, to learn about its tourism and archaeological potentials.

Director General of the Internal Offices of the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion Eman Abdel Rahman indicated that the ministry's hosting of these influencers comes within the framework of the its keenness to promote the Egyptian tourist destinations and highlight its diverse tourism components through a number of promotional means, which include inviting influencers and bloggers to visit Egypt and later present their experiences to their followers from different countries of the world.

 

 

 

 

 

During their visit to South Sinai, the influencers toured the cities of Sharm El-Sheikh, Saint Catherine and Dahab, according to Director of the office of the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion in Sharm El-Sheikh Islam Nabil. Sharm El-Sheikh Museum, Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve, Saint Catherine monastery, Wadi Al-Raha area and the rest house of the late leader Mohammad Anwar al-Sadat were all included on the South Sinai itinerary. 

 

 

 

 

 

Nabil added that these influencers were keen to document their visit, which they described as wonderful, by taking countless photos and publishing them on their official pages on social media.
