Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities and Ministry of Culture celebrated solar alignment in Abu Simbel temple on a very special date 22.02.2022.
Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El Enany explained that Solar Alignment on Ramses II at Abu Simbel Temple is a unique astronomical and engineering phenomenon in the world.
Enany added that Abu Simbel temple deserves to be the eighth wonder of the seven wonders of the ancient world; as the story of its discovery, the inscriptions on its walls and its colors are all so unique.
The walls of Abu Simbel Temple carry the stories of the Battle of Kadesh and the first peace treaty in human history.
A large screen was installed in the front yard of Abu Simbel Temple today to transmit the Solar Alignment phenomena to the audience and to re-broadcast the artistic show that was presented yesterday evening.
Before the spectacular phenomena of Solar Alignment on Ramses II at Abu Simbel Temple, Egypt presented a splendid folkloric show introducing different countries and various cultures in a country that unites the world, our beloved country Egypt.
The celebration was attended by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled El Enany, Governor of Aswan Ashraf Attia and a number of foreign tourists.
The artistic show was performed using modern and advanced technological means, dealt with the story of the discovery of the temple of King Ramses II in Abu Simbel, the process of saving it, dismantling its stones, transporting and reinstalling them in its new location in front of Nasser Lake Nasser in the 1960s of the last century.
The show also shed light on the life of King Ramses II, the Battle of Kadesh and the first peace treaty concluded in the world written on the walls of his temple.
In addition, many colorful balloons were flying in the sky to decorate and beautify Abu Simbel sky, in a message of love and peace to the whole world from Abu Simbel on this special day.
